Our Company History
When he returned from the South Pacific, having served as a US Navy Seabee in WW II, Bob Porcello had the skills but needed to work. In 1946 he founded Old Colony Cabinets, Inc. (OCCI) and created his family legacy. For over 40 years Bob ran the company and created and installed custom kitchens all over the Boston area. He was well known for his quality workmanship and customer service.
In 1995 he was approaching retirement and no longer could keep up his active pace. His son Steve had shown an interest and had worked at the firm. He became President of OCCI, but it is still very much a family business. An older son Ron Porcello has been with the company for over 30 years and heads finishing operations. Lisa (Porcello) Collins is the bookkeeper. And Bob still keeps his hand in from time to time.
When you do business with OCCI you are doing business with the Porcello family. Our reputation and history is on the line and you can be sure we will do everything in our power to keep that strong.
